Hello Horizon Families!

I'm excited to begin my new role as 6th grade school counselor at Horizon Intermediate. Prior to teaching, I served in multiple capacities: to include ministry, military, and counseling. After my military service, in the 82nd airborne, I earned a master's degree in counseling/psychology. Eventually, I landed at Horizon, where I have been for the past 6 years, as a certified teacher in special education, supporting students through individualized instruction and behavioral guidance. I'm passionate about helping students grow academically and emotionally, and I'm looking forward to continuing that work in this new position.

My wife and I have been married for 23 years, and we have two wonderful kids, an 18-year-old daughter, starting her freshman year at the University of Oklahoma, and a 16-year-old son, a junior in high school. In this new role, I'm committed to creating a supportive, welcoming space for all students; just as I would want for my own children. I look forward to another exciting year at Horizon!
